Bobby Horton

Bobby Nelson Horton, 86, died peacefully at Azalealand Nursing and Rehabilitation on Thursday, March 14, 2024 after a short illness.

The Savannah, Ga. native was born on November 4, 1937 to the late John William Horton, Sr. and Sara Helen Horton. Bobby grew up in Savannah and was a 1957 graduate of Savannah High School.

In 1962, Bobby married the love of his life, Marjorie Horton and they remained together for 61 years.  Bobby was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and his brother John William (“Billy”) Horton, Jr.  In addition to his devoted wife, Marjorie, Bobby is survived by his son, Brian Horton (Tabitha), grandchildren Victoria Horton and Henry Horton, all of Vidalia, Ga.

Special appreciation and thanks to the staff of Azalealand Nursing and Rehabilitation in Savannah who treated him with so much kindness in his final days.
