Celebrating the life of

Cindy Deal Kight

June 26, 1965 - March 08, 2024

Cindy Deal Kight

Cindy Deal Kight, 58, passed away on Friday, March 8, after a courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. A devout Christian, Cindy’s love for the Lord shined through everything she did. She showed absolute fearlessness and grace the past 13 months, and embodied God’s love to everyone she came into contact with.

Cindy was born on June 26, 1965, in Savannah, Georgia. Growing up, she excelled at any team sport, and had a love for softball and basketball.  She graduated from Memorial Day School in 1983 where she was an all-state softball player.  A year after she graduated, she married her high school sweetheart, Jay, and they began their life in Savannah together.

Cindy had a lot of passions in her life like working out, going to Pure Barre Pooler, hanging out with her girls, her dog Nala, being a mother to Lindsey & Jordan, but her favorite role of all was being a devoted “Cici” to her two grandbabies Jay & Caroline O’Shaughnessey.

Cindy was preceded in death, by her son, Jordan Kight; father-in-law, Danny Kight; and sister, Donna Silva. She leaves behind her husband, Jay Kight; daughter, Lindsey O’Shaughnessey (Will); grandchildren, Jay & Caroline O’Shaughnessey; mother, Angela Hobbs; brother, Jon Deal; mother-in-law, Patty Kight; sister-in-law, Krista Jackson (Marc); Aunt & Uncle, Mark & Joy Norman; and nieces & nephews, Malloree Gray (Jordan), Taylor Morgan (Alayna), Isabella Jackson, Stephen Silva, Ramsey Deal, and Emma Deal.

The family would like to extend their special thanks to all the medical providers of Mayo Clinic Jacksonville hematology /oncology division that provided such excellent care to Cindy over the past year.  3 North, Dr. James Foran, & all his providers will always hold a special place in our hearts and we are forever thankful for your loving care.

A visitation will be held at Fox and Weeks Chapel in Savannah, GA on Monday, March 11, from 5:00-7:00pm.  The Funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 12, at 11:00 am at Compassion Christian Church, Henderson Campus, Adult Ministry Center - Across the street from the Santuary. The burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for a donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in support of Lindsey’s 2024 Visionary of the Year campaign – cicistrong.com – helping the fight to end all blood cancers.
