Celebrating the life of

William "Will" Frederick Caswell

Passed away on December 06, 2023

William

William “Will/Billy” Frederick Caswell, 55, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 06, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. Will was born on September 20, 1968, in Brooklyn, New York to William S. Caswell and Patricia Johnson. He grew up in Stony Point, Rockland County, New York and graduated from North Rockland High School in 1986.

From an early age, Will had a strong affinity for all things cars. So much so that he started building his skills by helping his uncle Rick rebuild a car engine at the kitchen table. He entered into the Automotive Industry as a mechanic apprentice and made a life-long career for himself. Throughout his career, Will was sought after for his technical expertise, guidance, and leadership about all things automotive. His favorite saying when solving problems was, Where there is a ‘Will,’ there is a way!”

When Will wasn’t under the hood of a car, he could always be found with a Pepsi in hand sitting at his embroidery machines turning out projects and building dioramas and display cases for his collectables. Will was a baseball and football sports fan and enthusiastically supported his favorite teams: the New York Yankees, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Florida Gators. He enjoyed reading Stephen King novels, playing video games, watching horror & superhero movies, watching sunrises and sunsets, and being at the beach. Will was outgoing and generous and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. He loved spending time with family and his favorite cat, Zoey Pebbles.

Will is survived by his wife, Veronica (Boyden) Caswell; daughter, Nikole Caswell; son, Christopher Caswell; step-son, Evan Schultz; step-daughter, Emma Schultz; grandchildren Mira and Claire; mother, Patricia Johnson; sisters, Theresa Ceccotti; Victoria L. LaPaglia; Tina M. (Caswell) Albright ( Luther Albright); and Diana (Caswell) Phillips; brothers, Matthew Fillyaw; Michael Caswell; and Anthony Caswell; uncle, Richard Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.

Will was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry S. Caswell and Alberta (Dickerson) Caswell; his father, William Steven Caswell; and his sister Janet Lee (Caswell) Sudziarski; and brother-in-law, Anthony Sudziarski .

All expressions of sympathy are welcome. Those who wish to make a charitable donation in Will’s name, please consider The American Cancer Society and/or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
