GUEST BOOK

Mike and family, I know my words can’t ease your pain, but I hope you all know I’m thinking of you. There are so many wonderful memories of living across from your family for years on 51st Street. You were both a part of Nick and Molly growing up. Please accept my most heartfelt and deepest condolences.

Delores and I pray, asking our Lord, Jesus Christ to give you and the family strength at this most difficult time. One's passing leaves a heartache that no one but He can heal, love leaves a memory that no one can steal. Hold on to all the good memories and trust in the Lord. Blessings to all and may LaVerne rest in peace.

In the past ten or more years, LaVerne forgot…..forgot so much…but her friends and family never forgot her. How could anyone forget that bright, smiling face….the quick quip…the willingness to help…the joy in life that made her the wonderful person she was? She was always beautifully and stylishly dressed, hair and make up in place. Her home was spotless and beautifully decorated…and open to all. We lived in Baton Rouge when both our sons married and she was quick to offer her house for a rehearsal party and to help find a venue for the wedding receptions. Her home at Christmas was so beautiful especially her mantle decorations. She loved Tybee and being on the beach. She loved all things Irish….and could do a mean jig. She was a member of the Daughters of Ireland and helped chair the Christmas Tea one year….everything was perfect because of her attention to detail. When her sons were at Blessed Sacrament and BC, she was a volunteer. She was a giver and her family, especially Mike and Phyllis, gave back to her these past years. Prayers and sympathy to all her family. May your good memories comfort you. Rest in peace, LaVerne.

Rest in peace, my gentle lady LaVerne. How can I forget your smiles? I would not. There is twinkle in your eyes and you danced. All lyrics were no longer familiar but you would be humming at every tunes. Oh, how you love sweet treats! You were an angel on this earth. Now you are an angel in heaven.

- Mee Lozano, Hinesville, GA

Mike, Greg, John and family we are so sorry for your loss. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.

- Roger and Susan Norwood, Pooler, GA

Laverne was owner of many very special virtues. For us she epitomized two often overused but in her case exceedingly true attributes. She was kind beyond the normal definition of the word even helping those she did known at considerable expense and personal sacrifice. She was classy in how she dressed, how she treated others and how she supported her family. We are not the better for her passing . May her family rejoice in her specialness as they grieve for her loss.

- Bob Nancy Merchen, Savannah, Ga

Michael you will probably barely remember me as we have met only once several months back. Grey Wood introduced us as we both share a new passion for wood working and turning. In just our one luncheon your love for Charlotte was so evident that I just had to offer my sincere condolences on your and your families loss.

- Brian Lambert, Tybee Island, GA
