Paul, I don’t know if you remember me, but, I am Susan Barry Morgan. Your brother, Pat, was in the other grade at Blessed Sacrament with me. I have been through a similar situation with my daughter involving substance abuse. She died last year. Please call me if you need to talk, you or your wife. Maybe, I can give you some help to get through this or, at least, some insight to the things you may be processing. It’s a never ending, “What could I have done?” But, you did all you could do. My number is 912-713-5556. I wanted to come Friday, but I have custody of my daughter’s children and didn’t want to disro the service.

Paul and Susan ours hearts and prayers go out to you all at this time of great loss ! We pray that God will give each of you a extra measure of grace and peace .

I met Tyler one time only, and his presence was impactful. He was charismatic, funny, just a pleasure to be around. My condolences go out to you and your family. I was unable to locate Tyler's memorial page on shatterproof, but made a donation nonetheless in his memory. I will continue to fight the battle any way I can. Sending all the love and prayers, because no words could ever suffice.

Jessica, Savannah,

May the friends and family of Mr. Tuttle find comfort in the Bible's promises that soon, "all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out" (John 5:28, 29), and "[God] will wipe out every tear from [our] eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." (Revelation 21:3, 4). We can also rest assured that God 'will swallow up death forever, and He will wipe away the tears from all faces...for He himself has spoken it.' (Isaiah 25:8) https://www.jw.org/en/bible-teachings/questions/about-life-and-death/

My heart aches for you guys, the Tuttle family. In addition to enjoying his company socially, I grew up playing basketball and golf with Tyler. He was a natural athlete to say the least. We had some great and thoroughly enjoyable games facing off against each other in SJS vs BSS basketball games. But my foundest memories are walking 9 holes with Tyler at Bcon Park back in more innocent days. Carrying our bags on our backs and walking side by side joking and talking about youthful things. Those are and always will be found memories for me. Life throws difficulties at us all that we could never see coming when we are young. Sometimes those unforeseen difficulties get the best of the best of us. And Tyler was that at his core... one of the best of us. I’ll remember him just that way. Love and prayers to all the Tuttles, and to you Tyler.

Brian Kennedy Jr. , Atlanta , Ga.

Paul, Susan, and Casey our thoughts and prayers have been with you since we heard this heartbreak! Tyler was always loving , polite and such a warm young man ! He will always be in all of our hearts! Tommy,Bonnie,Kyle and Brent Connolly

I first met Tyler by my friend yelling at him. He ended up being our upstairs neighbor while working in Charleston. He came right in and we immediately became friends. My dog, Malla, loved him so much, he ended up dog sitting for me many times that summer. When he moved to wilmington, he would come by and my pup would cry with excitement and cuddle up with him. That’s the kind of guy he really was. An immediate friend, and someone you wanted to cuddle up to. That’s what will always be remembered.

William Tyler Tuttle, 29, was born on May 16, 1989 in Savannah, Georgia. He attended middle school at Blessed Sacrament School and graduated from Herschel V. Jenkins High School. He lived life to the fullest and never met a stranger. He loved music, hunting, fishing, and was happiest when he was on the water. He leaves a hole in our hearts that will never be filled. He is survived by his daughter, Parker Elizabeth Tuttle, sister Casey Tuttle, and parents Paul and Susan Tuttle. A celebration of his life will be held on the pavilion at Isle of Hope Marina on Friday, June 1st, 2018 from 5:00 – 7:00pm. Dress is beach casual. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests any remembrances be made in Tyler's name on his memorial page at Shatterproof.org or a non-profit substance abuse treatment center to battle this disease that has devastated so many lives.
