Mrs Vaughn, who always insisted on me calling her Shirley, was one of the most influential people in my life. I will never forget her kind and gentle nature. She and Mr. Vaughn always welcomed me into their home. She will always hold a special place in my heart.

Tina Davis Fischlin , ,

I have know Shirley for forty years and she was one of the first to welcome me into the local Duplicate bridge community. She was one of the warmest, caring, most sincere persons that I’ve ever met. She worked tirelessly to promote bridge and to improve the spirits of bridge players when they were down or ill. Shirley loved and cared for her family and home even more than she did for here friends. She will be missed by all who ever came in contact with her.
