Our heartfelt and deepest sympathy to the Saxton family for the loss of your dear loved one. May the love of family and friends as well as the words at “Psalm 147:3” and “John 5:28,29” continue to help you get through these most difficult times.

, ,

My sincere condolences to the family for your loss I know this is a very difficult time for you death is one of the worse enemy we can have but our Heavenly Father 1Corinthians 15:26 says that last enemy death is to be brought to nothing but there will be a resurrection to life again John 5:28,29

MGF, Savannah, Ga

When death takes someone you dearly love it is truly as the Christian writer called it, “the last enemy”. The grief this enemy causes often lasts longer than people in general realize. You may find yourself swinging dramatically and swiftly from one feeling state to another, avoiding reminders of your love lost alternately with deliberate cultivation of memories for some period of time. Keep God’s precious promises in mind at Philippians 4: 8, 9, … the God of peace will be with you. Along with the promised hope of a resurrection to life again right here on a paradise earth. Psalms 37:10,11 & 29

Sandra Pearl Saxton, 71, entered eternal rest on Wednesday September 19th at Hospice Savannah. Sandra was born in Swainsboro, Georgia, to Sammie Saxton and Pearl Buchan Saxton. She spent her early years in Emanuel and Candler counties, was reared in Savannah, and spent the majority of her life in her beloved Low Country.

Sandra began her career in the shipping industry at the Georgia Ports Authority as a young woman. Her sharp mind and effervescent personality quickly propelled her into one of Savannah's largest brokerage houses. She became a licensed customs broker and spent many satisfying years moving "mountains of things" around the world.

Sandra was predeceased by her parents, her sisters, Louise Saxton (Stephen) Gentry, Priscilla Saxton (Phil) Harris and her oldest granddaughter, Brittany Alaina Harbuck,

She is survived by her son J.David Harbuck, her daughter-in-law Deborah Coursey, her granddaughter Jessica (Brittany Rowell-Harbuck) Harbuck, her great-granddaughter, Charlotte Wren Harbuck, her sister, Caroline Saxton (Billy) Stevens, her brother Carl Sammie (Shirley) Saxton,  and a host of nieces and nephews and cousins she loved with her whole heart.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes contributions to the Brittany Harbuck Memorial Scholarship Fund at Georgia Southern University, PO Box 8040, Statesboro, GA 30460.
