Rue Allen Tungate, Jr., 46, died at home on Tuesday, November 27, 2018.

The Springfield, IL native was born on December 28, 1971 to Rue Allen Tungate, Sr. and Gloria Karrick Tungate.

Rue was a devoted father who enjoyed music, comedy, nature, and helping others.

Surviving are his wife of 15 years, Melissa Tungate; three sons, Rue Allen Tungate, III, Tristin Gregory Jerome Tungate, and Kai Anthony Allen Tungate; a brother, Greg "Boog" Tungate; and his Dorsey Tire family.

Rue will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Rue’s life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
