I loved the photo that you chose for the obituary. That is the way that I remember him - so vibrant in life, jovial, loving. I loved your mom and dad like a brother and sister and they helped me through a tough time in my life and I am eternally grateful to have known them and to have shared a period of my lifetime with them. A part of me 'died' when I read about Rick's passing. So many good memories have been swarming through my head and my heart is heavy. Sincere condolences from my family and me. Sending love to you and your family and to Sue. May God bless all of you and ease your broken hearts. They say that time heals - but your dad will never be forgotten and we will hold him in our memories forever. Bonnie Spencer-Beer and family

Bonnie Spencer-Beer, London, Ontario, Canada

Aunt Sue, Suzanne, Adam and the kids, I am sending lots of love to you all from Canada. Uncle Rick was extremely fun to be around. The old Sherkston visits remain some of the funnest childhood memories of mine. I wish I could be there today as you celebrate his love-filled life. I have added a couple of ABBA songs to my playlist in his honour! So sorry for your loss. Love you all. xoxo Megan

Judy and I have many fond memories of Rick. I first met Rick at water aerobics where we had a lot of fun. We also bowled and golfed together and shared great talks on the way to golf. Judy and I shared many good times with Rick and Sue on New Years Eve and going out to lunch and dinner. We will miss his smile and charm but will cherish the memories. He loved his family deeply and was a caring friend. Judy and Karl Barons

We have remained friends with Rick and his family since that time, and have shared many wonderful memories with them. We are so very sorry to have lost our dear friend. Rest in peace, Richard. God love you, and keep you. We will miss you a lot. Ron, Wendy, and Family.

We have so many wonderful memories of Rick, our friend of over 50 years. Camping trips with Nonno Corrado, Jeff and Adamo, road trips with Joan, so many shared meals and other occasions when we were treated to Rick's amazing sense of humour - he could make us laugh so easily. Later on, vacations with Rick and Sue, especially the trip to France/Italy. We have had so many good times together, it's hard to believe he's gone. To say "He will be missed", is an understatement - we loved him dearly and he will forever be in our thoughts. Joe, Margaret, Adamo, Sarina, Denise, Rob, Alessandro and Aidan.

Joe & Margaret Gianna, Maple, ON

So sorry to hear of your dad's passing Suzanne. Our deepest condolences to you, Adam, and the kids.

Alma & Dan Wolff, Savannah, GA

Susan, My deepest sympathy. I'm your dads first cousin and like everyone else, was shocked to hear of his passing. As kids we shared a bedroom when I spent summers at Aunt Mary's and Uncle Jacks. Your Grandfather Jack, was my mothers brother. I was traded off with Margaret and she would stay at my parents home. Your dad was also my sponsor at my confirmation. The last time I talked with him on the phone, we reminisced about the time a rubber ball was stuck in the ceiling light fixture in the bedroom and started to catch fire, scared the heck out of us.

Paul Marquis, Pace, FL

Rick will be missed dearly by our family. We are grateful for the wonderful memories which remain and serve as a reminder of the fun-loving, mischievous and generous man Rick was. The excursions on the golf cart at Sherkston, the campfires both there and at the cottage, the ghost stories, and all the wonderful meals shared with family and friends will help keep his memory and his smile alive in our hearts. Thanks Rick!

Jocelyne, Tim and Megan, Welland, On
