Niecy, ,

Dana,Josh,Emersyn and Cooper, we are so sorry for your loss. Our hearts and prayers goes out to you. I know those sweet little ones will miss him greatly as well as you and Josh. I can only pray that God will ease your pain of losing your loved one. We never met your father but if he is anything like you then he was a wonderful person.

I will miss Dick. I got to know him very well during our many trips to present Savannah Navy League Awards to Marines and Sailors. He was just hitting his stride as a new Navy League Director and becoming more involved in our Sea Service support projects. He was a very nice person.

We lost a true and dear friend. He was a co-worker, a member with me in the Navy League, and a close buddy to all. He will be missed from day one and from now on. Good by my friend.

Bob & Karin Tully, Savannah, Ga,

May "the God of all comfort" provide what the friends and family of Mr. Gowen need during this difficult time (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4), and may they find comfort in the Bible's promises that soon, "all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out" (John 5:28, 29), and that "[God] will wipe out every tear from [our] eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." (Revelation 21:3, 4). We can also rest assured that God 'will swallow up death forever, and He will wipe away the tears from all faces...for He himself has spoken it.'
