Sgt. 1st Class Reed Deschenes passed on June 23, 2017.

He was born on August 25, 1955 in Beverly, Massachusetts where he and his family resided until his age of 13. At which time his family moved to Dania, FL. where he lived until he                        joined the United States Army at age 17. He served our country for over 20 years as a Sargent First Class, Special forces, “Night Stalkers” on the Chinooks.

He is survived by his Wife, Yun Deschenes of Savannah, GA; His sons, Ji Hoot Choe, and Ji Myong Choe of Atlanta, GA; his daughter, Penny Lane Deschenes of Richardson, TX, his            mother, Judith Anne Mitchell and step father Kenneth Mitchell of Ocklawaha, FL.; his sister, Dierdre (Dee) Pfeiffer of Roanoke, VA and step brother, William (Bill) Acquesta of Oxford, FL. He  also leaves behind a host of family, step family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dianne Jane Deschenes; his father, Hector J. Deschenes; his brother, Scott Daniel Deschenes and his sister, Crystal Anne Acquesta.

He will be dearly missed until the day when we will see him again!

The service will be Friday, June 30, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, 7200 Hodgson Memorial Drive. Savannah, GA 31406.

Burial with full military honors will follow at 3 PM at Georgia Veteran’s Memorial Park in Glennville, GA.
