I'm so sorry for your loss. Priscilla and I have been friends for at least two decades and she was a wonderful employee when she and Frank first moved to the island. She was a lovely lady and I will always remember her with much fondness. Thanks, Linda, for making Priscilla feel so safe and serene as she lived with you her last few months. You were a very good daughter and blessing to her. All the very best, Kate Keep

Dear Linda, I'm so saddened to hear about your Mom's passing. I was just wondering about her the other week. I'm glad she was with you. As you know, I've been lucky enough to have known her for the past 20 years. She was the kindest, most loving person I've ever known. She was so special. The world is a sadder place without her grace and kindness. I will always remember her and be thankful that I was lucky to have had her in my life. Sending you all my love and prayers. I am sorry for your loss. Death is always a painful event for us all. However Jehovah offers us comfort in the Bible at Isaiah 25:8. I always find this scripture to be of encouragement. Jehovah promises to do away with death and all things that bring us pain. How satisfying that will be. May joyful memories fill your minds and hearts through this difficult time.

My deepest condolences.May you and your dear loved ones find hope and be comforted during this difficult time by the Bible's promise at Isaiah 25:8 where it says "He will swallow up death forever,And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.”

I'M SO SAD TO HEAR OF THE PASSING ON OF PRISCILLA. SHE WAS A WONDERFUL PART OF OUR ALL SAINTS EPISCOPAL CHURCH FAMILY AND WE REALLY MISS HER SMILING, SWEET FACE AMONG US. SUCH A WARM AND GENTLE LADY, I REALLY ENJOYED KEEPING IN TOUCH THROUGH OUR CARE COMMITTEE WITH HER, UNTIL SHE LEFT HILTON HEAD TO BE WITH HER DAUGHTER IN SAVANNAH.

I'm sorry for your loss. Death is a painful ordeal. The scripture at Revelation 21:4 gives hope. There, Jehovah God, promises to do away with sickness and death very soon. This scripture has helped me in the past when dealing with loss. I hope it helps you too. For more information, please visit jw.org.

Priscilla Jane Roberts LeFurgy Dement died August 27, 2017 under the care of Hospice Savannah surrounded by her children.  She was born to John Collinson Roberts and his wife Althea Richardson Roberts on February 2, 1931 in St. Paul, MN and raised in West Hartford, Connecticut.

After graduating from Mary Washington College in VA, Priscilla met and married the love of her life, Francis Archer LeFurgy in 1951.  After living in several homes in the NY tri-state area, Priscilla and Frank settled in Scarsdale, NY, where Priscilla enjoyed volunteering for various civic associations, church groups and hospitals. Priscilla and Francis traveled extensively for both business and pleasure, and it was this travel that prompted her to become an international travel agent.  In 1989 the couple retired to Hilton Head Island, SC and enjoyed the island life until 1999 when Francis succumbed to cancer.

While volunteering at Hilton Head’s hospital, Priscilla met and married fellow volunteer Gridley R. Dement in 2006.  They were happily married until Grid’s passing in 2010.

Throughout her time on Hilton Head Priscilla was very active in the AAUW (American Association of University Women) and the Daughters of the American Revolution (Emily Geiger Chapter).

Priscilla moved to reside with her daughter Linda Roberts LeFurgy in Savannah, GA in 2016. She is survived by daughter Linda, son Richard Archer LeFurgy, his wife Karen and grandchildren Jean Luc, Alexander and Julianne. She is also survived by her brother, John R. Roberts and wife Kay, nephews John Roberts and Stephen Roberts, and his wife Heather, as well as their children Daniella and Kayla. She is also survived by Gridley’s children, Jay, Debbie, Kathy and Mark Dement.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Bronx, NY.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to a charity of your choice or to Hospice Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416.
