Ms. Peggy Anne Barron (age 78) (nee Peggy Anne English) passed away July 21, 2018 at approximately 4:30 p.m. in the home of her eldest son in Savannah, Georgia surrounded by loving family.

Peggy Barron was born in Zetella, Georgia on November 29, 1939 and lived there as a child prior to moving to Marietta, Georgia at age 11 where she remained until June 2018. Marietta was home to Peggy as she lived there most of her life, and raised her two sons there.

Peggy attended Marietta High School (Class of 1957). After high-school she began working as a secretary, including at Lockheed (Lockheed-Martin) and most recently at MEAG Power where she retired after making many enduring friendships. She was a long-time member of Maple Avenue United Methodist Church where she will be especially missed and remembered as the church treasurer, Sunday School and Bible School teacher, and devoted member of the congregation.

Peggy leaves behind her two loving sons: Mark Barron of Ames, Iowa, his wife Sonya Barron and her much adored grandchildren Ruby (age 5) and William (age 3), and Steven Barron of Savannah, Georgia and his wife Darby Williams-Barron. Additionally, Peggy leaves behind her sister Becky Rhodes, brother-in-law Gene Rhodes of Marietta, Georgia, niece Eve Rhodes, half-brother John Deedrick, daughter-in-law Rebecca Deedrick, nephew John T. Deedrick, and niece Mary Margaret, all of Tampa, Florida, Aunts Jeannette Goen and Sarah McKee of Griffin and Decatur, Georgia, respectively and her mother of 98 years Mary Deedrick, a resident of Ross Memorial in Kennesaw, Georgia.

The family will be holding a memorial service at Maple Avenue United Methodist, Pastor Jim Moore will officiate on Saturday July 28, 2018 at 11am. All are welcomed.

A private interment will follow in Zetella, Georgia.

The family requests that in the place of flowers, any remembrances be made in her memory as donations to Maple Avenue United Methodist Church or Hospice Savannah.
