I'm so very sorry for the loss of losing an officer of the law, who gave his life in helping others, to which he loved to do and even though if didn't know him, I have known other police officers where I live and have known them to be true people any one could count on. But even though he is gone now, he isn't gone forever and how do I know That? Well, according to God's word the Bible and the trust it has been able to give me in what God says in its pages, this is something I can truly pass on to your Family which of course is going through a time of unbearable pain, which I'm sure the words of God's Bible can bring your Family a lot of Hope for the future in seeing him again, once he is brought back in the future resurrection that Jesus Christ will carry out and we can read that in the Bible book of John 5:28,29. Also another future promise of God's word the Bible gives us is found in the Bible prophecy of Psalm 37:29 which says: The righteous will possess the earth and they will live forever on it....so as you contemplate what these words have done for you, please visit us JW.org and there you will find many spiritual truths that will give you many more reasons to have the hope that millions have found, by means of God's word the Bible...

Thinking of Patrol Officer Christie’s Family. May the God of Comfort be with his wife, parents and rest of the family. May your faith sustain you in the days ahead. We appreciate Officer Christie’s service and pray for his family. Revelation 21:4

Fisher Family, Savannah, GA

Dear Nicole & Family, you have our deepest condolences for the loss of your loving Husband, Anthony. God's Word tells us that unforseen occurences befalls us all and this reminds us of just how short life can be. But The God who supplies endurance and comfort also promises us that the ones we have lost in death are in his memory because they are precious in his eyes and he assures us that we will see our loved ones again according to His faithful promises for the future. We pray that knowing this gives you much needed comfort.

Harris Family, Chicago, Illinois

May the friends and family of Mr. Christie find comfort in the Bible's promises that soon, "all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out" (John 5:28, 29), and "[God] will wipe out every tear from [our] eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." (Revelation 21:3, 4). We can also rest assured that God 'will swallow up death forever, and He will wipe away the tears from all faces...for He himself has spoken it.' (Isaiah 25:8)

Patrol Officer Anthony Christie, of the Savannah Police Department, lost his life in the line of duty on May 25, 2018. Anthony’s patrol car was struck by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 16 while he was assisting with traffic control following a vehicle accident.

Anthony was born on August 29, 1980, in Berkeley, California. Upon graduating high school, he joined the Navy where he proudly served his country for 13 years. He was a Master-at-Arms Second Class in the 4th Fleet and spent his final years of active duty at Naval Air Station Jacksonville and remained a reservist. A decorated war veteran, Anthony was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal, the Navy Good Conduct Medal, Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal and the Global War on Terror Service Medal.

Anthony joined the Savannah Police Department in December 2015 and was officially sworn in on May 19, 2016, where he was assigned to the Central Precinct. He loved being a police officer and was passionate about serving his community. Anthony was respected by his fellow officers and the people he came in contact with while on the job. He was the type of officer that everyone wanted to ride a call with and had the innate ability to take control of a situation and provide a calming presence. In 2016, Anthony and other officers were awarded a Team Work Award for assisting in the search and rescue of a missing child abandoned in the woods by a robbery suspect. Anthony’s devotion to his job and his dedication to excellence and service as a police officer is a shining example that all should aspire to.

Anthony is survived by his wife and soulmate of 15 years, Nicole Weldon Christie; his parents, Kathy and Tony Christie; and his sister, Alice Christie.

Anthony was a huge San Francisco 49ers and San Francisco Giants fan. He and his wife, Nicole, enjoyed the outdoors and spent much of their time kayaking, jet skiing and traveling. Anthony had a passion for fast cars and his sportbike. He also loved spending time with his beloved dog, Bizkit, a Yorkshire Terrier.

Anthony will always be remembered as a loving husband and a devoted son, brother, and friend. He is a true hero who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Expressing my sincerest sympathy for your families loss. Losing a loved one is most difficult to bear. Almighty God feels your pain and sorrow and has these words of comfort for each one of you at John 5:28,29; 1 Thessalonians 4:14 that speaks of the resurrection for those who fall asleep in death. Family look forward to the momentous time of the promised fulfillment of His words in Anthony behalf where families can be reunited because with "Almighty God" All Things Are Possible(Matthew 19:26). Thank you all for sharing his love of law enforcement. Your family will remain a keepsake in my thoughts and prayers.
