The soul of Page Brandt Sessoms left this world Friday, July 13, 2018. Born on the Fourth of July, the larger-than-life spirit of such a wonderful friend, father and husband will never leave us.

Page had a reputation as one of the most brilliant boat Captains, fishermen, and creative engineers we have ever known. A savvy businessman with incredible negotiation skills, Page knew the waters of the East Coast as well as any. He leaves behind incredible stories that continue to leave smiles on the faces of friends and family.

His adventures tell of a man who rescued steel-hull sailboats and who fished the waters from Cape Cod to Florida. He was known for not only bringing in the catch to feed his family, but for bringing home all manner of parts and projects to fulfill his entrepreneurial spirits.

His friends and family will tell you that he never came into anyone’s life slowly or gently, but was always a part of your life once you came to know him. Page will be remembered as a fantastic storyteller, where his exuberant personality shined. His stories and ideas live on as inspiration in every life he touched.

Page left us at an earlier age than we ever wanted, but his life was as rich in adventure and love as one twice his age. He passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. He was 54 years old.

Page’s family survivors include his wonderful wife of nearly a decade, Jen Hilburn. Page also leaves behind his son Page Brandt Sessoms Jr., his daughter Cassidy Sessoms and son-in-law Malcom, three grandchildren and a grandchild on the way.

He also leaves behind his father Ernest Sessoms, stepmother Linda Sessoms, mother Connie Munn, his brother Lesley Sessoms and sister-in-law Judy Sessoms, sister Dori Sessoms and fiancé Chad Carmichael, sister Donna Blalock and husband Mitch Blalock, sister Shay Scott and husband Kerry Scott, and seven nieces and nephews.

To the greatest boat Captain we ever loved, fair winds and following seas.

There will be a Celebration of Page’s Life at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at 107 South Brompton Court on Wilmington Island.
