Nancy Lynne Finley, aged 62, formerly of Savannah, GA and Scranton, PA passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018, with her family by her side.

Nancy was born on September 25, 1956 in Scranton, Pennsylvania the daughter of Valda and Warren Raker. Nancy spent her childhood in Scranton where she attended John J. Audubon Elementary School and Scranton Central High School. At Scranton Central Nancy was the head twirler and Co-Belle of her class. Nancy excelled in her academic pursuits, which afforded her the opportunity to attend Bucknell University. At Bucknell she earned a degree in psychology in 1978 and was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. Upon graduating Nancy worked in Philadelphia for Strawbridge and Clothier in their management training program. She then returned to Scranton to work in her family retail clothing business, Suburban Causals. Nancy and her family moved to Savannah Georgia in 1995. In Savannah, Nancy started a small business, tutored children and continued to raise her family.

Nancy was a loving wife and mother of three boys Gavin, Brett and Jason and gave her time to facilitate their interests, activities and life pursuits. Nancy dedicated her life to her family and her lasting legacy is the men she raised and the character she instilled in them. Nancy was known to display extraordinary affection and compassion for her family, her neighbors and her friends. The memories shared by her family, children, nieces, nephews, relatives and grandchildren will live on indefinitely.

Nancy is survived by her children, Gavin Finley and wife Jessica, Brett Finley and wife Ashton and Jason Finley; grand-children Chappell Finley, Alice Finley and Kevin Gavin Finley, Jr,(due in March); her parents Warren and Valda Raker; her sister Carol Selige; and former husband Kevin Finley. She is also survived by six nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church located at 429 Abercorn St, Savanah GA on Saturday January 12th at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name can be made to Bethesda Academy in Savannah, GA where Nancy donated her time for many years as a math tutor.
