May the friends and family of Mrs. Hendricks Terry find comfort in the Bible's promises that soon, "all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out" (John 5:28, 29), and "[God] will wipe out every tear from [our] eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." (Revelation 21:3, 4). We can also rest assured that God 'will swallow up death forever, and He will wipe away the tears from all faces...for He himself has spoken it.' Linda Hendricks Terry, 65, passed away unexpectedly Friday evening, June 15, 2018 at her home in Pooler, Georgia.

She was born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania on December 17, 1952 to Jack and Margaret Hendricks. Both of her parents worked for the FBI; her father an agent and her mother in clerical work. She lived in Atlanta, Georgia from 1962 until 2009 when she moved to Pooler, Georgia to be near her children and grandchildren.

After graduating Medical College of Georgia, she became a Dental Hygienist and practiced for over 30 years. She was an active member of Smoke Rise Baptist Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia; North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, Georgia and most recently Compassion Christian Church in Savannah, Georgia. She loved spending time with her family and especially her precious grandchildren. She enjoyed her small group gatherings, reading, riding her bike and shopping.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 43 years, Frederick Price Terry of Pooler, Georgia; her daughter and son-in-law, Brooke and Jamie Deen of Savannah, Georgia; her son and daughter-in-law, Vince and Alison Terry of Bluffton, South Carolina; her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Meagan Terry of Marietta, Georgia; her sister and brother-in-law, Jerry and Jean Dodd of Cumming, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Hendricks (1965) and her mother, Margaret Helen Bruce (2005). She will be missed dearly by her precious grandchildren, Jack Linton Deen (11), Matthew James Deen (7), Elizabeth Emma Terry (10), Addison Graeme Peters (9), and baby Owen Vincent Terry (11 months).

The Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Compassion Christian Church in the Adult Ministry Center, Henderson Campus with the service immediately following at 5:30 p.m. Let us celebrate her joyous and faithful life.

The family suggests any remembrances be made in her memory to Compassion Christian Church, Henderson Campus, 55 Al Henderson Boulevard, Savannah, Georgia 31419.
