A strong, loving female warrior called home. In so many ways, she taught by example. When I think of her, the words unconditional love will always come to mind. From day one, she not only spoke words of love to me, she physically embraced me and accepted me as her own. I will always remember her smile and her love.

Minerva Williams DuBrey, age 96, died on Monday, July 23, 2018, at her home with her loving daughter, Gale Edeawo, at her side.                                                 .

The Rochelle, Georgia native lived for a number of years in Detroit, Michigan before moving to Los Angeles, California in 1960. She returned to Georgia and settled in Savannah in 1998. She was a real estate agent and school teacher.

Surviving are two daughters, Gale Judkins Edeawo of Savannah and Aloha Inmon of Detroit, MI; two granddaughters, Consuella Judkins of Los Angeles, CA and Latyma Inmon Lyons of Detroit; 5 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

A private Graveside Funeral Service will be held at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
