My deepest condolences to everyone in Melody's family. Chris and I will always carry very fond memories of her and the kind manner in which she treated us when we "rescued" Cookie and Duchess following June Sasser's passing. I was so fortunate to connect with Melody recently - she reached out to me upon hearing of health issues I had been battling. She was so kind, and caring - I will always remember her for that. Wishing all of her children and grandchildren peace and comfort in the days ahead.

Ms. Melody Sasser, 76 years old, who with a love for her family and a love vastly reciprocated by all that knew her, passed away Saturday, November 3rd, in the loving arms of her family and the Lord. She peacefully succumbed to illness, and left behind, a family which will miss her daily, and dearly. She lived an extraordinary life, one that led her across the nation for nearly a decade, where she became a successful television and movie manager.

Born in Lubbock, Texas, she was a lifelong resident of Savannah. Melody was a graduate of Savannah High School and also held the title of Ms. Washington Avenue. She was even more beautiful on the inside than out.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, W.O. and June Sasser, her brother, Robert Sasser, her beloved son, Mark Thomas Hutson, and her beloved grandson, Casey Hutson.

She leaves behind a blessed yet grieving family; her sister, Ceryle and Charles Stewart, her brother, John and Annette Sasser, beyond beloved children, Michael Hutson, Sr., David L. Hutson, and Candace Marcelle Ririe. She was blessed with grandchildren Michael Hutson, Jr., Chrissy and Jason Parrish, Gaby Tucker, Ransom Ririe, and Kai Ririe. She leaves behind 6 great-grandchildren and so many adoring loved ones.

The Legacy and Celebration of her beautiful life will be held by close family and friends. In tribute to the most amazing, fabulous and caring woman, please wear your most dazzling attire in honor of Melody Sasser.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
