Just about had dinner with Maury and Mary Jane in Savannah Aug. 19th 2018. With uncertainty of our arrival we never called. It was great being Maury's friend and many times golf and tennis partner and opponent. What a terrific guy. Great accomplishments in education, sports, business and survived the many trips to the hostile Middle East. Mary Jane, Ann and I send our condolences. Good bye good friend

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I am grateful to have had the chance to know Maury. Somehow, he always made me feel special - and I suspect many who read this would say the same. He made me feel like he believed in me. And he made me feel like he cared. I loved his sense of humor! We shared some good laughs - and I'm laughing now as I write this remembering those moments - ha! Maury and Mary Jane are an inspiring team. I saw kindness, mutual respect and support, laughter - and a stolen kiss or two around the house. What a team. Giff, Maurie, Nancy, and Kate really lucked out in the parent department. Thank you Maury for the time we shared together. Sending you all peace, love, and the comfort of so many wonderful memories. Love, Jane

Giff, Trish and the Lorenz family: My condolences on the death of your father. He had an impressive personal life and an extraordinary professional career. I didn't know you had roots in the Hoosier State. (South Bend for me) We have a friend who was the VP of Esso/Exxon of China. I bet they knew each other. I know you'll miss him very much. Keep the precious memories and family celebrations as a way to remember him in happy times. I pray that God will give you His love and comfort as you move through this very difficult time. You are in my prayers.
