Mary Laura Lee Peebles Huber, 95, died peacefully at her home in Savannah, GA on October 9, 2018 with her children by her side. Born October 2, 1923 in Statesboro, GA, Mary was the daughter of David Brinson Lee and Ruth Marie NeSmith Lee. Mary graduated high school from Georgia Teacher College (known today as Georgia Southern).

In 1945, Mary married George Peebles from Swainsboro, GA. They made their home in Savannah, GA. In 1962, Mary was co-founder with her husband, George, of Paper Chemical Supply Company. The year 2012 marked 50 years in business which continues to grow under the direction of three of her six children.

Mary was blessed with six children, eleven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, as well as, two children and two grandchildren from her second marriage.

Besides her family, Mary’s great love in life was to travel. She travelled extensively in her older years across the globe.

She was a long-time member of Savannah’s Woman’s Club. She was a member of the Altrusa Club and enjoyed co-chairing their cookbook. Mary loved playing Bridge, dancing, and gathering with friends and family.

Mary’s life was an example of love of God, devotion to family, and enjoyment of friends. She was loved and will be missed by many.

A memorial service will be held at United Methodist Church Skidaway Island on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at noon for visitation with service to follow and then a procession to burial at the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
