I would like to give my condolences to the family of Ms.Martha. It is comforting to know that soon we will not have to deal with the various illnesses that we face today. “And no resident will say: “I am sick.” - Isaiah 33:24. We can be certain that this will become a reality because God's promises always come true. I will be keeping you all in my prayers.

Mike and family, you are all in our prayers! How wonderful that she was able to be home. God Bless you all!

Please accept my condolences in the passing of Martha. I remember well watching your Dad, Phil, bowling Friday nights at the Victory Dr bowling alley. My Father, Tom Jordan and Phil worked together at Life of Ga. There was a family atmosphere there and they used to have company picnics at Dasher's. Good memories of your family. Becky

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Martha Tomaeno Watson faced all of life’s challenges with great resilience and courage. On Saturday, July 27 she passed into eternal life after facing the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease for 20 years. Martha loved her home and family and remained in her home until 4 months ago under the care of her family.

Martha, a longtime resident of Savannah was born Martha Jane Hattrich, daughter of Martha Edna Hattrich (nee Adams) and William Duncan Hattrich on November 09, 1928 in Dover, Georgia. Martha married Philip Tomaeno in 1947. They had two sons, Philip Anthony and William Michael. She enjoyed being a homemaker until the passing of her husband in 1970 after he lost a long battle with cancer. Martha faced the challenges of being a widow and recreated herself joining Life of Georgia as a claim’s processor. For 20 years Martha flourished at Life of Georgia and in 1984 married Herbert Watson of Savannah.  Herbert passed away in on 2007 after a long respiratory illness.

Martha is survived by her eldest son, Philip “Tony” Tomaeno, daughter in law, Connie Pfau and youngest son William “Mike” Tomaeno, all from Savannah GA. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, spouses and brother William Hattrich.

A memorial service will be held graveside on Thursday, August 1 at 10:00am at Hillcrest Abby Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please support the Alzheimer’s Association and join us for the 2019 walk to end Alzheimer’s on September 28, 2019 in Savannah Ga. https://www.alz.org   To leave memories and condolences please visit www.foxandweeks.com
