May her family be blessed with the comfort they need now and may they gain strength from their precious memories. The loss of a loved one is a heavy burden to bear, but special memories can help us to cope. Please hold fast to the words of Jesus Christ at John 5:28, 29...what a marvelous time this will be! You can have your dear Lynette back in your arms at that grand reunion. Please accept my condolences.

I'm sorry for your loss. Death is very painful to all of us. However Jehovah is the supreme comforter and offers it through his word The Bible. 1Corinthians 15:26 brings comfort in knowing that soon God's kingdom will put an end to death. I hope this scripture and many like it help you to endure this difficult time

To the Family of Lynette, my thoughts and prayers are with you. There was never a conversation when she didn't talk about her Children and Grandchildren. " Save me a seat on the picnic table Lynette, so we can talk all night like we use to. What a Great Memory!"

Nancy Allen, Savannah, Ga

With empathy please accept my condolence for the loss of your dear loved one. In times of this nature, all of us need encouragement and comfort, how we appreciate those who lovingly offer it! When we are faced with situations so perplexing that we do not know what to do or say, prayer can be the key, the Bible says “the spirit itself pleads for us.” Then GOD, the “Hearer of prayer,” accepts our heartfelt prayers.-Psalm. 65:2.

It is with great sadness that the family of Lynette G. Whitney announces her sudden passing on Monday, July 9th, 2018 at the age of 54 years. Lynette will forever be adored by her three daughters Hollie (Alex), Taley, and Staci (Vince). Known to them as “GiGi”, she also left behind her true pride and joy, her precious grandchildren Liam, Emma, Aiden, Carson, and baby girl on the way, to be named Lynette.

Lynette also will be fondly remembered by her mother Marcia, and her brother Greg (Erin). She was also very fond of her extended family that included many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Tom & Eileen Royalty (Clayton, IL), George & Annabelle Whitney (Quincy, IL), an uncle, Carson Whitney (Quincy, IL), and aunt and uncle, Mark & Helen Kim (Mason City, IL).

Lynette was born on June 5th, 1964 in Connecticut but spent her youth in the Quad Cities area of Illinois. After high school she attended Eastern Illinois University, eventually relocating to Austin, TX where she married and had her three daughters. She spent the past 14 years in Savannah, GA where she loved her beach life. Last week her immediate family was blessed to have spent the entire week together in Savannah, much of that time together on the beach.

A Celebration of Life in memory of Lynette will be held on Saturday, July 14th, 2018 at 6:00 pm, at the Island Sports Bar & Grill (348 Johnny Mercer Blvd, Savannah, GA 31410). A future Celebration of Life will be announced for her Illinois friends and family in the near future. Those who so desire may make memorial donations for her grandchildren’s future education funding (Care of Taley Alarcon).
