I am so very sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one in death is very painful. I can't exactly understand how you feel, but our Heavenly Father Jehovah does, and he will give you the strength to endure. May the wonderful memories you have of Lt. Commander Pete bring you comfort and the words found at Isaiah 41:13 where God says he is grasping your right hand, the one saying do not be afraid I will help you during this difficult time. Please go to jw.org if you have any questions about what happens to our loved ones we lose in death.

Peter was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was a compassionate and dedicated pediatrician and will be missed by all who knew him. It is so sad when a life is taken away too soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

My heart and prayers go out to Dr. Hastay's family and friends. I had the honor and pleasure of working alongside Dr. Hastay on MBU at Winn. He was truly a genuine and outstanding provider who was knowledgeable and passionate about his work. I learned a lot from him, as did many others, and I'm grateful to have crossed paths with him. Rest in paradise, Dr. Hastay. You will definitely be missed!

I am so sorry to hear of Peter’s passing. Way to soon. Hadn’t seen him much recently but could tell what a great dad and grandfather he was when i would hear from Catherine at Christmas. I have fond memories of a very kind and fun loving friend who was a dedicated and passionate pediatrician.
