Lawrence Bryan Jr. affectionately known by his family as “Pop Pop” was born to Lawrence Bryan Sr. and Vera Whaley Bryan Blackshear in Savannah, Georgia on June 3, 1932.

He was the only child in that union and both preceded him in death. He attended the schools at Chatham County, graduated from Alfred E. Beach High School, Savannah Vo-Tech. He served in the United Sates Air Force in the 811th Food Service Squadron. He received the National Defense Service and Gold Conduct Medal, where he was honorably discharged. He retired from Kemira as a welder.

Lawrence was joined in Holy Matrimony to Lorraine Bryan who preceded in him death. To this union was born Myron (Joan), Laurentina (Curtis; deceased) and Lawrence III(Linda). Five grandchildren; Jamal (Nicole), Shanell (Darrell), Logan, Lindsay (Travis) and Lawrence IV who preceded him in death. Six great grandchildren Ashley, Gianna, Sianna, Lawrence V, Liam, Lawson. One sister in law, Barbara McKiver (Luther), one brother in law, Henry Mack, two aunts Brunel Wiggins (Robert; deceased) and Ernestine Wiggins (Richard; deceased) a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, god- children, and other relatives.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Friday, November 17, 2017 at St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church. A Christian Wake service will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 18, 2017 at St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
