Josie was my first real friend in Savannah. My family moved there from Augusta in my junior year in high school. I didn't know a soul. I felt very alone. Josie reached out to me as soon as we met. She remained my true friend over all these years. Always, Josie had a truly good heart , a sweet soul. I never once saw any meanness in her. Only kindness. Full of love. And fun--she had the greatest sense of humor. I am so thankful that she was, and always will be, a major part of my life. I'll keep her close by me in my heart. Thank you for this happy gift, Josie. With love, Peggy

My prayers and thoughts are with the family of Josie. She was in my brothers class and childhood friends with us both. When we were 11 and 12 she would come home with my brother after school and we'd go to the movies, for a .10 dime. Special memories of our friend Josie, her beautiful smile was contagious. Special memories seeing her picture. God bless you all. My brother will greet her in Heaven.
