How I loved that dear woman. I wish I'd gotten a picture with her but our lives both took a different path since our last meeting. Rest in the Glory of the Lord Jesus whom we both love!

Fr. Rob Bagwell, Savannah, GA

I have shared a deep friendship with Helen for many, many years. Have wonderful memories of good, good times at the Whitemarsh Island home. Boots and Bogie were an outstanding couple who I loved. Later, we enjoyed good times with the 2nd. Tuesday Ladies Luncheon (dear friends of many years). For Helen's three lovely daughters, I send my love to each of you and may God bless you with peace as you share together the loss of your precious mother. She was a special person.

Maggie McLendon, Bluffton, S.C.

My sincere condolences to the family, the Bible tells us at Isaiah 25 verse 8 that death soon will be done away with for good. That means for us we will never lose loved ones again which will be a joyous time.

Helen 'Boots' Bryant-- I will remember her as a Southern woman of great Character, Integrity, Morals, Values, Principles, Spiritual-a loving/caring Mother-Grandmother and always a true and loyal friend. Her Spirit is now in heaven, she is reunited with Bogie and Jeffrey and I will always be grateful that God allowed my path to cross with Helen's while living on this Earth. We pray that God will comfort her family during this difficult time.

Helen ‘Boots’ Andrews Bryant died peacefully at home on March 28th surrounded by her three loving daughters after 89 ½ great years of life. She was born August 21, 1928 and was raised on Whitemarsh Island. Boots graduated from Savannah High School and Armstrong Jr. College. Shortly after graduating from college she married the love of her life, Joseph E. ‘Bogie’ Bryant.

Foremost, Boots loved her family and friends. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time at her home on Richardson Creek where she was surrounded by nature. One of her many hobbies was gardening; especially the camellias which were planted by her mother when Boots was a child. Boots was also an avid bridge player and volunteer in the Savannah Community. She was a longtime volunteer at Oatland Island (“Treasure Island”) where she derived many years of pleasure. Boots was a lifelong member of Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church.

Boots is survived and will be sorely missed by Claire A. Bryant (Eldin Ebanks), Laura Bryant (Stephen Dee), Jodi B. Fox (Roy ‘Buddy’ Gilliken), her beloved grandson Jerry Fox (Jana) and her great grandson Kimball, her brother Robert Henry Andrews and several nieces and nephews.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Bogie Bryant, and her dear grandson Jeffrey Fox.

The family wishes to sincerely thank Janie Evans, Wanda Edwards, Taneese Hendrix, Erica Butler, Jennifer Holmes and Yasmin Chapin, the kindest, most patient and wonderful angles and friends that took care of our mother for the past three years.

A Mass will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, April 2nd at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and immediately following a Celebration of Life at her family home on Whitemarsh Island.

In lieu of flowers her girls wish donations to be made to Hospice of Savannah, Friends of Oatland Island or St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
