Harold Arthur Webster, Jr.

Harold Arthur Webster, Jr., 93, died Wednesday, February 22, 2017. He was born November 7, 1923 in Spokane, Washington to the late Harold A. and Frances McKenzie Webster. Harold was a 1944 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, and retired from the Navy in 1970 as a LCDR. He served in World War II on several cruisers, destroyers, and battle ships. He also served during the Korean Conflict, and during the Vietnam era. He was a resident of Savannah since 1975 and was a member of the Savannah and Bridge Club.

In 1960, Mr. Webster founded Webster’s Christmas Tree Farm in Darien, GA. He loved woodworking and was an avid golfer and loved to travel.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Ulivo Webster, and his daughter-in-law, Cathy Webster.

Surviving are two sons, Harold Arthur Webster, III (Jackie), and David Cameron Webster, one daughter, Susan Webster Bazemore (Randy), his former wife, Margaret Craddell Webster, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

Military Honors will be rendered at 3:30 p.m.

Remembrances may be made to the Wounded Warriors.
