Dorothy., Dacula Ga.,

May Jehovah sustain you at this time of such great loss.-2 Corinthians 1:3

Carrie, Brunswick,

In the Bible book of "Ecclesiastes 9:5,10" reads "For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all, nor do they have any more reward, because all memory of them is forgotten. Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for there is no work nor planning nor wisdom nor knowledge in the Grave. Which you are going. May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

Gwen, , GA

I'm so sorry for your loss. Death is not something that was intended to be experienced by humans. The bible holds out a beautiful promise of a ressurection at John 5:28,29. We can see our loved ones again very soon. I hope this scripture brings you some comfort as it has done for me in the past when I experienced loss. Please visit jw.org for more comforting information on this subject and so much more.

Kelly, Pooler, Ga

My sincere condolences to the family, soon death will be done away with for good (Isaiah 25:8). Please continue to rely on our heavenly Father who promises us all a better future very soon.

Kay F, Savannah, Ga

My condolences to family and friends. Isaiah 25:8 says “He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces.”

D K, ,

Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to Uncle Bob, Robin, Jodi and Bobby and all of those grandkids and great grandkids. We are so sad to hear of the loss of Aunt Trudy. I have so many fond memories of her. From her yummy noodles with poppy seeds, to her saying "for cryin out loud" which I always say. She was always smiling. I know that she is at peace and probably up there in heaven with my mom and dad smiling down on us. Love you guys.

Sue Steve and Benjamin Surat, Wyckoff , NJ

My condolences to the Conklin family for the loss of your dear loved one. During this most difficult time, may your hearts be comforted by Jehovah God's promise to "wipe out every tear from our eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore".(Rev. 21:4) Also during the days to come, may Mrs. Conklin's sweet memories fill your hearts with joy and peace.

Thomas, Snellville, Ga.

Our hearts are saddened by the loss of your beloved Trudy. May the beautiful memories you have shared together remain with you all, as she is welcomed into her heavenly home. Sending love and prayers. Mary Lou and Frank Cimini

You are all in my thoughts and prayers. The first time I met Trudy was at her daughter Robin’s house so I could met her dog Willie who I was going to be dog sitting. Trudy welcomed me and Willie liked me, so we were a go for dog sitting when the family went away to celebrate Bob and Trudy’s 50th wedding anniversary. I can see Trudy and Bob coming outside to greet us each time I went to visit the beach. It was always touching to see Trudy send us on the way home by making the Sign of the Cross. She will be greatly missed.

Terri Ingham, Mercerville , NJ

My heart goes out to you Bob and to your loving family. I know that Trudy and you have gone through a lot over the past few years. May she rest in peace knowing she is now in God's hands. My condolences Bob to you and family. George Lawrence

Dear Bob, Jody, Robin ,Bob and families, You have my heartfelt sympathy for the sudden loss of your wonderful wife, mother, grandmother. I feel lucky to have known Trudy and to have shared some of her delicious meals and her enthusiasm for her family, her pets, her Savannah home and her East Hampton summers. I still enjoy the memory of Bob and Trudy arriving by boat for lunch in Greenport and seeing them hand in hand after 60 years at Katy’s wedding. Rest In Peace with the Lord, Trudy. You will be missed. Love, Kathy Neumann

It is with great sadness that the family announces the unexpected passing of Gertrude (Trudy) Ann Conklin, on Tuesday, November 13th, 2018 at the age of 85. Born August 18th, 1933, Trudy grew up in New Jersey where she raised her family, and then moved to Connecticut before she and her husband retired to Savannah in 1993. For the last 50 years, one of her favorite joys was spending summers in East Hampton, Long Island.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Robert E. Conklin, her daughters and their husbands Joanne M. and Robert H. Blake and Robin E. and Gregory L. Olson, and her son Robert W. Conklin and his wife Cecilia Neumann, 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Trudy was devoted to her many charities, was an avid animal lover, including caring for the many animals who would show up on her doorstep, and a superb cook and gardener.  But most of all, she was devoted to her family and her faith.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church, 8412 Whitefield Ave, Savannah, GA on Saturday, November 17th, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. Calling hours for family and friends will be held at St. James Catholic Church on Friday, November 16th, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Burial will be privately held at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery in East Hampton, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Trudy’s name to North Shore Animal League.
