I'm so sorry for your loss. Death was not intended to be apart of life. Jehovah, God, makes a comforting promise at John 5:28,29 to resurrect our loved ones one day. I hope this scripture gives you comfort as it has given me in times of loss. For more information, please visit jw.org.

Kelly, ,

I am sorry for your loss. Death is painful to all of us. However God's word the Bible always offers encouragement. A scripture I find comforting is Isaiah 25:8. There Jehovah promises to do away with death and all things that bring us pain. That will be very satisfying! I hope this thought has been comforting to you. May positive thoughts fill you hearts and minds as you endure this difficult time.

R.G., ,

My condolences to the Hosti family for the loss of your dear loved one. I hope you find comfort from these scriptures: 2 Corinthians 1: 3,4. Revelations 21:3,4. John 5:28,29. Psalms 37:29. Isaiah 25:8

I am very saddened to learn that Miss Faye has passed away. I know she is reunited with Uncle George in Heaven and she is safe in her Saviour's eternal embrace.

Rosemary *MARY* Brown Woods, Savannah & Tybee, GA

My Parents, husband, and I lived next door to Uncle George and Miss Faye for many years. They were devoted to one another. We saw her just a couple years ago and I gave her a big hug and we both cried a bit -- remembering the old days. I will miss -- WE will miss -- this amazing, beautiful lady. <3

We just learned of the loss of your sweet mother. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Norbert, and Kelsey. Much love.

Dear Hosti family, Mrs. Hosti was a beautiful and gracious lady. I knew Mrs. Hoste through my father John Tuten. Charlie Hosti worked with my dad at Savannah Electric and Power Company and they lived down the street from us in Avondale. When I converted to the Catholic faith in the eighth grade Mr. Hosti was my Godfather. So they were like family to me. Every morning Mrs. Hosti would give me a ride to St. Vincent's while taking her girls to Cathedral. Mrs. Hosti's influence in my life along with her husband's has never been forgotten. Their love for each other was an example to me to this day. Be with God now, Margie Tuten Tracy

Our sincerest condolences to you and your family, Bonnie, upon the death of your sweet mother.

Bonnie, Helen, and Family, Faye was such a fun and loving person to be around and was always quick to "counsel" the old "Woodcliff Gang" when she thought we needed it (which we often did). When I heard of her passing I told Brenda and Jim that I could see her arriving at Heaven's Gates and George saying "It's about time you got here Faye"! A grand reunion for sure with all the brothers and sisters, in-laws, nieces and nephews. Just know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Ziggie

Sharon Zeagler "Ziggie", Sylvania (Woodcliff), GA

Bonnie, Norbert, Kelsey and Helen, Was so sad to read about your mother. She was good to so many people, especially Joe and Irene. She is one of the last icons on Tybee. A perfect southern lady at all times. She will be missed by many.

Jackie and Charlie Brown, Tybee Island/Metter, GA

Faye Edenfield Hosti of Tybee Island died September 17, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospice in Athens, GA.  She is survived by daughters Helen (John) of Winterville, GA and Bonnie (Norbert) of Tybee Island. She is lovingly remembered as Gramma to granddaughter, Kelsey, Mimi to great grandchildren Carrie and Evan, and Aunt Faye to generations of nieces and nephews.

Faye was born in Woodcliff, GA on May 21, 1931. She retired from a career as bookkeeper for GMAC of Savannah. She was preceded in death by husband, Charlie Hosti, her parents, and 8 siblings.

Her commitment and devotion to family are an inspiration to all who knew her. We are grateful to the many people who helped fill her life with kindness and love. All the Second Avenue greetings in her driveway, "Aunt Faye days," GMAC lunches, community events, and amazing neighbors gave her such joy!  She was blessed with the friendship, love, and care of two of God's most beautiful creations, Juva and Candice, and their wonderful family.

Visitation will be at 9:00 am, Saturday, September 23 with funeral service following at 10:00 am at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.

Interment will follow at Bonaventure Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests remembrances be made in her memory to St. Mary's Hospice, P. O. Box 6588, Athens, GA 30604, Rising Tide YMCA/Food Pantry, P. O. Box 2832, Tybee Island, GA 31328, or service of your time or assistance to Tybee flood victims.
