I'm sorry for your loss. The scripture at Revelation 21:4 gives hope. There, Jehovah God, promises to do away with sickness and death very soon. This scripture has helped me in the past when dealing with loss. I hope it helps you too. For more information, please visit jw.org.

My sincerest condolences to your family. Your loved one will will never have to face the last enemy, death, ever again. In the meantime, his acts of faith live on until he stands up alive and whole in the Paradise.

I am grateful for the years of visiting Dedrick on Sundays at Azalealand with my dog, Macy. He loved sitting outside in the sunshine, and telling us stories about his youthful adventures, growing up at Bethesda. I will miss Dedrick's sharp memory and funny, wry sense of humor about life. He was always such a positive guy.

David North, Savannah, GA

My 11 year old daughter (Anna) is just heartbroken. She would visit Mr. Dedrick with my mom, Josette Clifton. Dedrick was a part of our family also, when he was friends with my Granny (Maurice). He will be missed. Anna just loved visiting with him. She was glad that she just had a visit with him a few weeks ago on her school break. Prayers for your family.

Leslie Shinn (Anna Shinn), Pooler, GA

I knew Dedrick since the very early '60's. He was a friend to my sister, Jonell Blackburn. I spoke to him about 4 months ago. He was happy as always. My sincerest sympathy to his family. He was a special person and will be remembered with love.
