Eloise Sadler Harris, 84, died peacefully at home March 31st surrounded by her family.  She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Henry E. Harris; a son and daughter-by-marriage, Robert William and Carrie Harris of Atlanta; a daughter and son-by-marriage, Ellen and Eddie Wilson of Savannah.  She was the beloved Mimi of three grandchildren; Bowen Harris of Atlanta, Drew and Sadler Wilson of Savannah.  She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. A.B. Midgett of Virginia Beach, VA and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Eloise was born in Tazewell, VA, graduated from Tazewell High School, and attended Georgia State College for Women (GSCW).  In April 1962 she was married to Henry in Fort Valley, GA.  They lived in Atlanta, then Chapel Hill, NC, and relocated to Savannah in 1966 with one-year old Robert William, who was in born in Chapel Hill.  Ellen was born a few years later in Savannah.

Eloise is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Street Sadler, of Tazewell, VA and several aunts and uncles, including a very close aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. William J. Wilson of Fort Valley, GA.

The family expresses special appreciation to her caregivers, Mrs. Gwendolyn Carbaugh and family, and to the staff of Spanish Oaks Hospice.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Eloise to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson Research, P.O. Box, 5014 Hagerstown, MD 21741 or Southbridge Community Church, 53 Crestwood Dr., Savannah, GA 31405.

Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., with a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. on April 21, 2018 at the Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
