Dear Jan & Kamenski Family - So very sorry about Ed's passing. I was so happy he and I reconnected over the past few years. I know he loved reminiscing on our phone calls as much as I did about our high school and college days together. They were some of the best and funnest times of our lives. Ed was a big lovable, soft-spoken and engaging guy who loved to tell a story and wouldn't harm a fly. I know he was proud to be one of our original Iona "Killer Birds" and took as much pride in attending Essex Catholic HS as I did. My only regret about him was that he moved to Tampa and became a Bolts fan after having been a Rangers fan all his life. There was nothing we talked more about than the Rangers in our younger days! 56 is way too short a life and he will be missed by many of his old friends I still get to see. We will be having our annual Turkey Bowl the Saturday after Thanksgiving in his hometown of Bloomfield and our post-game party will be held at Obal's Inn - a two minute walk from where he grew up. We will have a moment of silence and a toast to remember our old friend Ed. As we used to always say after a fun night of partying at Iona College...Ed, it was brief but intense! RIP good friend. PS - Jan, thank you for corresponding while Ed was sick. We know you've been through a very rough time in your life. We will pray for you and wish you our deepest sympathies and nothing but the best as you pick up the pieces and mourn. Always remember the good times and the special moments with Ed. Sorry for the loss of our brother. My deepest condolences. I regret that my name was not mentioned in the Obituary/Death Notice. But that still does not affect my feelings for the loss of our brother. I will make a memorial contribution in his name.
