I am sorry for your loss. Death is painful to all of us. However God's word the Bible always offers encouragement. A scripture I find comforting is Isaiah 25:8. There Jehovah promises to do away with death and all things that bring us pain. That will be very satisfying! I hope this thought has been comforting to you. May positive thoughts fill you hearts and minds as you endure this difficult time.

Dorothy M. Pearson, 83 died peacefully at her home in Decatur, Ga., after a short illness. She dearly loved her home city of Savannah, where she grew up, met her high school sweetheart, and graduated from Savannah High School, class of 1952. She retired from Bank of America, and enjoyed cheering for the Atlanta Braves, spending time with her close friends and family, and will be fondly remembered as 'the card lady'.

She is survived by two children, Ted Pearson of Lilburn, Ga., Jody Pearson of Decatur, Ga., and a sister, Jo (Paul) Howard of Roswell, Ga. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin T. (Buddy) Pearson.

The family will receive friends and family Saturday, October 14th, from 1-3 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel, graveside service at Bonaventure Cemetery will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
