He is survived by a brother, Jimmy Paul Ondriezek of Sylvania and several nephews, several great- nephews and great-nieces, and several great-great-nephews and great-great-nieces.

Mr. Ondriezek was born in Nanty-Glo, Pennsylvania in 1927 and relocated to Georgia with his family when he was 7 years old. He lived for a time in Hiltonia, Georgia and then moved to Savannah. Don worked for a time at the Southeastern Ship builders. He served in the U. S. Navy in the Philippines and aboard the USS Trinity AO-13 and LST940. He graduated from Commercial High School and shortly after left Savannah for Houston, Texas where he attended the Modern Beauty and Barber College graduating as a Master cosmetologist. Later he returned to Savannah and after being employed by several local salons, he opened his own salon, “the Coiffure Clinic” on East Jones Street, which he operated until he retired.

Don was an accomplished artist working in both oils and water colors. He was also adept at writing poetry. He was a faithful member of Faith Primitive Baptist Church where he sang tenor with the church choir and presided as secretary for the Faith Fellowship Circle.
