My sincerest condolences go out to your family, it's never easy losing someone in death. May you take comfort in God's promise found at Revelation 21:4, which says "he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” This verse brought me peace when I experienced loss, I hope it can do the same for you. May the memories you have give you strength during this difficult time.

Thanks, Jessica, Lesley, and Carol for taking such good care of him this week. I don't want to forget Ralph, who was also the best friend Darrell could've ever asked for. I wish I had been with you all this week. God rest, Carroll, and God bless you all. Love, Tere, Bob, Mitchell and Harry.

Tere Land, Bristol, VA

May the family and friends of Ray find comfort in knowing his suffering is over and the Lord will provide peace. We will always have stories and memories of Darrell( his brother) and Ray Potts to fill us with memories and laughter. There is indeed a new happiness.

Carroll Raymond Potts, 64 died on March 17, 2017 under the care of Hospice Savannah. Born Sept 11, 1952 to Raymond George Potts and Dorothy Lashley Douglas,he was born and lived in Savannah for most of his life.

“Ray” made his last widely and inappropriate and probably sarcastic comment before departing. He was an avid outdoorsman, who regarded camping as “second nature.” His journeys took him down to Louisiana working on the water, where he picked up a colorful dialogue and lifelong stories. He lived his life on his own terms to the end and had a palate to rival any beer connoisseur.

Surviving are his two nieces, Leslee Potts Gaylord (Victor Gaylord) of Savannah, GA and Jessica Potts of Atlanta, GA, as well as, many cousins. Services will be private.
