He taught me to be strong and determined in everything I do. He showed his love not in words but always in being there when I needed him. Dad loved all of GODs animals and mom loved all of GODs nature. Now they are together in heaven. A perfect match. I love you dad.

Billy Deason, Savannah, GA

We are going to miss Mr. Bill. He was a wonderful neighbor, always willing to lend a hand. He always had a smile for us and a joke to tell us. We will keep your family in our prayers. Love, The Doe's

Since death wasn't God's originally purpose for mankind it's hard for us to deal with but please read what the Bible says at Revelation 21:3,4

My sincere condolences to the family, after reading the obituary I can tell how much love the family had for him. You know the Bible tells us that soon death will be a thing in the past. At Isaiah chapter 25 verse 8 it tells us that death will be swallowed up an hone forever. That is a time we are all looking forward to

Billie Ray Deason was called home February 19, 2018. Born in Texas the year of the Great Depression.  Raised in a time when carrying guns to school meant you were going hunting afterwards.  During WWII, he enlisted in the Army at the age of 15 using his brothers' birth certificate.  Bill jumped at Corregidor and fought at Leyte where he was shot and discovered to be 16. Sent back to America aboard a hospital ship he was discharged.  Undeterred, he reenlisted in the Merchant Marines.  Bill was stationed in California where his mother worked as a welder in a shipyard.   After being Honorably Discharged, he became an electrician.  While working in Louisiana, he married and raised four hardworking, confident children who he brought to know and worship the Lord God Almighty.  He retired from IBEW 453, had twinkling blue eyes, loved animals, was a baseball coach, worked on cars, was always available to help his neighbors, enjoyed Gun Smoke and Match Game, and never ate a vegetable in his life, was afraid they would kill him.  This was the man whose finger I held when my hand was too little to wrap around his big, strong, hand.  Bill lived his life the way he wanted until the end, still drinking Dr. Pepper when swallowing was almost impossible.  He passed at home, peacefully, in his sleep, with family by his side.  Left behind to miss him are his remaining children; George, Billy and Susan, their families, his friends and his cat, Max.
