Marion, When Cindy and I heard about Alton we began to recall so many wonderful memories. You guys provided such a great example to all of "the young couples" at Independent. We will always remember Alton and Marion Brown.

Leigh and Cindy Edwards, Birmingham, Al.

May God provide what the friends and family of Mr. Brown, Sr. need during this difficult time, and may they find comfort in the Bible's promises that soon, "all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out" (John 5:28, 29), and that "[God] will wipe out every tear from [our] eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." (Revelation 21:3, 4). In fact, God 'will swallow up death forever, and He will wipe away the tears from all faces...for He himself has spoken it.' (Isaiah 25:8) We can also rest assured that, "the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials" will help us endure until he brings about these promises. (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4) https://www.jw.org/en/bible-teachings/questions/about-life-and-death/

My deepest condolences to the .Brown family. Since death was not part of God’s original plan it is hard to accept and painful times to live. Realistically nothing will completely erase the pain you will. In my painful times of having lost a dear one to death I was able to find comfort in our Heavenly Father’s promise found in Revelation 21:3,4 where he promises to do away with this enemy and bring back all those sleeping in death. May you also find some comfort in these words.

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. I hope that the promise at 1 Thessalonians 4:14 will bring you comfort. Knowing that there is a future for the ones we have lost in death can be reassuring.

Dear Brown family, so sorry for your loss. Please remember Jehovah God hates death; He views it as an enemy. (1 Corinthians 15:26) He has a longing to conquer that enemy, to undo death by means of the resurrection. He yearns to bring back those who are in his memory and to see them live again. Job 14:14&15.

Willie, Loganville, Ga

There isnt much a person can say when theyose a person they love very much. But some how the words of the Bible can give us a soothing effect and help us to see how God knows the pain we feel, when we lose someone we have loved for such a long time. There has already been much that has been said to the Family about the resurrection of the dead at scriptures such as John 5:28,29 or Acts 24:15. And so there is many other scriptures that can really help you to see that God wants you to, when you are ready, to throw your anxieties on him because he cares for you, as it appears in 1 Peter 5:7, but He also knows that you just want to be by your self to reflect on the times you spent with your Husband or Father or other Title you were known by him. Just know that Jehovah God wants to be there for you when you need Him. And other than what I have shared. There is always the free website, JW.org, you can visit anytime, that has many other supportive and encouraging words that may just be what you all need.

To the Family and Friends of Alton Brown, I'm sorry to read about the lost of your dear loved one. The Bible states God's promise at Acts chapter 24 verse 15 "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." Please be reassured that God who does not lie (Job 34:10) is going to bring back Alton. If you would like to learn more please visit www.jw.org

I'm so sorry for your loss. Death is not something that was intended to be experienced by humans. The bible holds out a beautiful promise of a ressurection at John 5:28,29. We can see our loved ones again very soon. I hope this scripture brings you some comfort as it has done for me in the past when I experienced loss. Please visit jw.org for more comforting information on this subject and so much more.
