Allison and I were friends since we were very young girls. I will miss her on Facebook, that's the way we kept up with one another!! We were going to get together on my next visit to Savannah. Allison was so full of life and she meant the world to her family and friends. She was loved and will be so missed. Rest in Peace. With love, Susan

Allison Kitchings Hearn, 59, of Savannah, received her permanent wings on October 14, 2017.

Born on August 16, 1958 in Savannah, she worked as a paralegal alongside her father, Alton D. Kitchings, who preceded her in death. Upon his retirement, she worked in student affairs at Savannah State University and then helped establish the Gateway Program at Savannah Technical College.

An avid skydiver, only grounded by medical circumstances, Allison flew through the lives of those she encountered with an exuberance for living that is unforgettable.

She is survived by her mother, Gloria Collins Kitchings; her daughters, Ria McCall Fritts and Carly Amanda Hearn; her son, Kason Philip Fritts, his wife, Whitney, and three granddaughters whom she adored more than life itself, Kylie, Amelia, and Saylor Fritts.  Allison is also survived by her sisters, Bili K. Sigmon and Rhonda Sutlive (Charles E. Sutlive), and a niece, Jennifer Sigmon Thompson (Robert).

A Celebration of Allison’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests remembrances in Allison’s name be made to Calvary Baptist Temple or the Ronald McDonald House at Memorial Hospital.
