Alexander Daniel Vasquez, 12, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2019.

Alex was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 3, 2006. After moving to Savannah, he attended Southwest Middle School where he was currently in the 7th grade. A lover of video games and sports, he especially enjoyed football, basketball and swimming during trips to the beach. He frequently attended Compassion Christian Church with friends. Alex was loving, caring and supportive to his family and friends.

Surviving are his mother, Wanda Vasquez; father, Thomas Vasquez; siblings, Joshua, Aalihza, Emilia and twin brother, Xavier; paternal grandparents, Wanda Pratts and Jose W. Oquendo; paternal great-grandmother, Emilia Justiniano and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2019 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

The funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. Burial will be private.
